You came to live with us when you were just three and you filled our lives with incredible joy and happiness for 11 glorious years. Please understand that that's why it was so terribly hard for us to finally let you go ... we loved you so much.

But we know that inspite of your earthly ailments, you can now run free like the wind, just as you did long ago. We're happy for you, Miss Wheat, we just wish we could watch you do that again.

We think about you every day, especially at night. That's when it hurts the most because we can't tuck you in anymore like we used to. And we remember how much you loved that.
