Foligno
Lovingly missed by Mary Kay and Paul Arndt
Born: March 1989 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: July 17, 1996

We never knew we could love a dog as much as we loved you, dearest Foli.
You won many races in your life but you couldn't outrun the cancer
that took you from us. We miss you very much!
You still live in our hearts and memories.
Chuckie (Chuck-O)
Lovingly missed by Mary Kay and Paul Arndt
Born: October 1988 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: December 24, 1998

Chuckie, you are our Christmas Angel, having left us on Christmas Eve.
But we know you are with Foli at the Bridge. You were our 'special' greyhound,
our "mucklehead" as you were lovingly known.
We miss you so much.
Dot Fever (Dottie)
Lovingly missed by Mary Kay and Paul Arndt
Born: June, 1987 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: December 7, 1999

Dottie, we are so glad we kept you after rescuing you. You were our little sweetie,
our little ballerina. We loved how you used to dance
in the morning and twirl around, glad to be alive.
We miss you terribly, Dottie-do. Someday we will meet you,
Foli and Chuckie again at the Bridge. We love you!

Four Haikus. Variations on a Theme for My Greyhound, Milo, by Miss Poa Tree

Saturday, October 23, 1999

What a silly dog.
You make me laugh, silly one.
Oh to laugh and laugh.

Those deep ongoing
Groans. Groans of pleasure and peace.
Best sound in the world.

Your eyes say, "Please don't
Ask for more. I am grateful.
You gave me a home.

I look in your eyes.
They go on forever. Pain
Your breed has suffered.

Twilite Gin
Lovingly missed by Roxanna and Allan Buchanan
Born: December 1, 1992 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: July 5, 1999

When you came to us, you were a sad sight... dirty, confused, unloved.
You didn't know what "good girl" meant. In a year and a half, you learned.
You learned to laugh, to love... and in your leaving, taught us courage.
The night you left us was one of the worst of our lives...
but I wouldn't have traded having you for the world.
Good girl, Gin.... good girl.

Sadie
Lovingly missed by Dick Benjamin

No words can express our loss, and we'll not try.

Chip
Lovingly missed by Michael & Stacie
Born: 1992 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: March 5, 2000

Chip was me & Stacie's first greyhound. He was not an NGA or AKC greyhound.
Just a greyhound. He had a difficult life prior to his arrival with us.
He had bounced around homes and the local pound.
Fortunatley, Karen the warden loved Chip & would not put him down.
April 2nd 1997 Stacie brought this gangly lookin fellow
home to our apartment. We were bit by the greyhound bug.
We moved to a house & "chipped".
Chip's sweet and gentle soul turned us onto this breed.
He loved to chase a tennis ball and he had an aristocratic
bounce to his step. On Saturday March 5th,
he got out and was struck & killed by a car.
He probably never knew what hit him. We miss him deeply.
The thought of never touching him again is devastating.
Our only consolation is that someday we may again
run our fingers thru his fur and kiss his soft muzzle.
Rest in peace our sweet Chip. You will always remain in our hearts.

Sonny
Lovingly missed by Pat Clark
Born: October 5, 1993 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: November 5, 1999

My goal in life is to be as good a person as Sonny always thought I was.
I'll never forget you, Duke!

Tiger-Bear
Lovingly missed by Karen, John, Danielle, Amanda , Jon, Ashley and Bessie Coppola
Born: September 1, 1990 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: September 11, 1999

Old friend, your place is empty now. No more
Shall we obey the imperious deep-mouthed call
That begged the instant fredom of our hall.
We shall not trace your foot-fall on the floor
Nor hear your urgent paws upon the door.
The loud-thumped tail that welcomed one and all,
The volleyed bark that nightly would appal
Our tim'rous errand boys--these things are o'er.

But always yours shall be a household name
And other dogs must list' your storied fame;
So gallant and so courteous, Tiger, you were,
Mighty abroad, at home most debonair.
Now God who made you will not count it blame
That we commend your spirit to His care.

CH. Galen
Lovingly missed by Karen Rice Beard
Born: February 19, 1991 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: August 4, 1998

'If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven,
and bring you home again.'

Murphy
(Sidehill Road)

Lovingly missed by Vicki and Monty Bowenschulte
Born: May 28,1991 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: September 7, 1999

Murphy, You picked us right from the start.
We loved you from the minute we lay eyes on you.
There was never enough time to give you all the love we had for you.
Your little heart was so full and just couldn't hold any more.
You taught us well what the spirit of life is all about.
Until we meet again. Mom & Dad

Belle
Lovingly missed by Sheila Armel, Greg Dague, & family
Born: Unknown ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: October 24, 1999

Wabash Lola
Lovingly missed by Harry and Janie Brister
Born: October 1, 1993 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: August 23, 2000

My Sweetheart, I miss her terribly.

Libbey
Lovingly missed by Michael J. Baker
Born: May 14, 1991 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: May 21, 2001

Libbey went to meet her maker and MaryLou, whom she was a companion to.
Libbey will be sorely missed, From when she would run her
snout up your shorts and then snort, to rubbing back and forth along
the fence in the back yard till she had the entire fence rattling.
She is dearly missed and will not be forgotten.
She is with MaryLou and her Sister Allegra who preceded her in passing in November of 2000.
There will never be another Blue Greyhound like Libbey.
We love you deeply Libbey but you are better and will never be in pain again.
I know that when my time comes you will be there waiting for me.
All my Love...
