You were our first and you will always be remembered.

Annie
Lovingly missed by Christi Bell
Born: September 2, 1993 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: January 7, 2002

It was really hard to let you go. You brought so much joy into my life. You have a new sister "Julie". She is so much like you, but she will never replace you in my heart. I hope you know that I couldn't watch you suffer any more. I know you are in a much better place, and your spirit is once again whole. I will see you again someday, so for now just run and play your heart out.

Sassy Tiger Boy
Lovingly missed by Lysia Arruda
Born: 1997 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: November 14, 2001

I was a kennel worker and Tiger was the sweetest greyhound there. He broke his hock racing and could never race again after. When I left the kennel I promised I would go back and rescue him and give him the loving home he was deserving of. I was able to rescue him from the track and he enjoyed a brief(too brief)time of knowing the love of a family. He passed away due to complications from surgery. Even at the end he was the sweetest boy and I am thankful that he was able to know a life other than the track. I miss and think about him everyday and wish our time together could have lasted so much longer. He is always with me though, in the pendent I wwear around my neck and forever in my heart.

Nanny
Lovingly missed by Pete and Lita Baum
Born: 1991 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: February 5, 2003

Through my tears I struggle to hold on to the sweet memory of you:
Your soulful eyes looking to us for the miracle we could not provide you in the end;
Your delicate step as you enter a room to join us in quiet companionship;
Your muffled yips as you dream in sleep;
Your patience with trips to the vet and treatment when you were gravely ill and the end was near.
I know you are in a place beyond pain and suffering now but selfishly I wonder:
Who can I whisper my confidences to and who will share my joys and sorrows?
If I didn't believe that you would be waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge,
my sorrow would be infinitely greater without you.
But I know when I draw my last breath..it is your sweet face I will see
beckoning me to join you and Buddy.
And together, free of mortal chains, we will cross our Rainbow Bridge and fly away!

Blanca
Lovingly missed by Eleanore Ciuba
Born: January 1996 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: April 23, 2003

My husband passed April 12, 2003 due to a massive stroke
and our Blanca followed him also incurring a stroke.
Every night, he knelt down and kissed her before going to bed
and told her just how beautiful she was
and that she was the best dog in the world.
It was a double tragedy for me after just having had
a heart attack myself that February of '03 and while in cardiac rehab,
my Vic incurred his massive cerebral hemorrhage
followed twenty days later by Blanca's tragic stroke.
I miss them both.
I hope they both are doing their laps about their heavenly grounds.

From the moment we first saw your big bronze eyes, we loved you.
We loved your head leaning in for a scratch,
your playfulness, your graceful form, your kind patience with us and your kitties.
Smiley, you were a friend, companion, teacher, and a wise and knowing spirit.
Our first grey, you are the champion of our hearts.
We miss you sweet girl.

A GIFT OF PAWS

© Terri L Onorato

In the silence of the morning
my heart begins to break
as feelings from the day you left
dawn slowly with daybreak.

I say a prayer of grateful thanks
for the life that I've been blessed,
and ask for strength so that I might
through pain find happiness.

God sent you as a present
though not received on Christmas day.
A gift of paws that reached down deep
and stole my heart away.

Geno Green
Lovingly missed by Jeanni Davis
Born: March 16, 1990 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: April 23, 1999

My sweet boy Geno
You came to us when no one else wanted you.
You brought joy, happiness and love to our lives
and the Hounds of Dragonflyte will be incomplete without you
as will our hearts.
Thank you for waving as you crossed the bridge.
It warmed us to the core.
We will love you always,
Mom and Dad and your brothers and sisters of Dragonflyte.

Cascade Shots

We will miss you until we can be together again at Rainbow Bridge.

Greycee
Lovingly missed by Nancy and Bill Fullerton
Born: February 12, 1988 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: July 1, 1999

Greycee was the unofficial mascot for GREYHOUNDS AS PETS,
a greyhound adoption agency, for over ten years.
She always had a smile on her face and a wag in her tail.
Her accomplishments as a Lure Courser of Merit were renowned as were her charm and warmth.
Although Greycee is no longer with us, the many good greyhounds
that she helped place in good homes are the testimonial to her time on earth.
God bless Greycee, the graceful greyhound dog and our best friend.

Sasha
Lovingly missed by Carolyn and John Drew
Born: December 1987 ~~~ Crossed to the Bridge: May 17, 1997

Her quiet beautiful demeanor is sadly missed by her loving family.
She was the spirit of all Greys and is still thought of daily. As one of the Ocala dogs
(Running for Their Lives) National Geographic special, she should have not made it out of Ocala,
but she, as many before and after her, knew that something better waits
in the hands of those of us who are committed to the ex racer.
She will never be forgotten and we are better to have known her.
I know she dwells at the Rainbow Bridge and someday we will meet again.
